Seminar C: Practical Strategies for Testing and Refining Program Theories (afholdes på engelsk)

A critical step in theory-based evaluation revolves around testing and refining program theories informed by data.

In this seminar, we will discuss different approaches and techniques for collecting and analyzing data on program theories. These include logic analysis, concept mapping, realist interviews, linked coding, relevant explanation finder, structural equation modeling, among other techniques. Based on real-world case applications, we will discuss the purposes and procedural steps, as well as benefits and limitations, of these approaches.

We will also consider the applicability of the different approaches in relation to a case study.
